Creating an Idea Template
What:
You can customize the look and functionality of your idea templates. The configurable idea template feature (also known as custom templates) allows users to create predefined structures for idea submissions in Acclaim Ideas.
This feature is available to Platform Owners and Professional users, but is not available to contributors or collaborators.
Key Features:
Template Access:

Found under "Settings," you can access your template library, which includes both idea templates and upcoming campaign templates.
Publication and Editing:

Once published, templates cannot be edited or deleted. However, they can be saved as drafts and kept in draft mode.
Default Template:

Set your default template, which will be displayed when users click on "Add New Idea."

Drafts can be edited and deleted before publishing.
Customization Options:

Make fields required or optional.

Add help text instructions to guide users.

How:
Creating and editing your idea templates:

From your dashboard, select Settings.

Within the Settings menu, select Template Library.

Choose Idea Templates.
- Click +Create New Template.

Under "Configure Idea Submission Form Template," add a name for the template (e.g., Innovation Challenge Idea Template).

Enter the title and description.

Add new fields based on your needs, including text input (simple and advanced), attachments, single-select, and multi-select.

Save as draft when completed and publish when ready.
Setting Default Template for Campaigns:

Go to the "Campaigns" section.

Create a new campaign or choose an existing one.

In campaign settings page, navigate to the idea submission form (on the bottom right).

Change the submission form to your desired template.
Best Practices:
Keep instructions and field labels concise to ensure users understand what is expected.
Align the template fields with the objectives of the campaigns or innovation challenges.
Notes:
Published templates cannot be edited or deleted. However, you can save and edit templates as drafts. These drafts will not be live or visible to anyone outside of the Platform Owners and Professionals with access to the template library.
