Inviting Your Team
What:
Inviting your team is a feature in Acclaim Ideas that allows you to send invites to colleagues or team members to join the platform and collaborate on idea generation and development.
Why:
This feature is essential for promoting collaboration and collective innovation within your organization. By inviting your team, you're enabling shared idea development, discussion, and engagement, all crucial for successful innovation.
How:
Follow these steps to get your team onboarded:
-
Log into your Acclaim Ideas account: Open your preferred web browser and navigate to the Acclaim Ideas login page. Enter your credentials to access your account.
-
Click 'Add New User' from the left menu bar.
-
Enter the required fields.
-
Choose the user type: Professional or Contributor. Also choose the User role. Quick definitions found in the notes section.
-
Once you've entered all the required information, click the 'Invite' button. The team members will receive an email with a link to join the idea or campaign.
Best Practices:
When inviting team members, add a personalized message for additional clarification. This can explain the purpose of the invitation or provide an introduction to Acclaim Ideas.
Notes:
Unless they are taking part in anonymous idea submission, your team members will need to create their own accounts before they can start using Acclaim Ideas.
You can designate the user type. You have two choices:
A contributor is a user with limited access to your platform (such as a customer or external stakeholder).
A professional user has increased access to the platform and is an internal stakeholder.
You can choose between the following Professional user roles:
-
Innovation User - Has unlimited access to the platform, including permissions and settings.
-
Executive User - Read-only access to the whole platform, except the settings. Has permission to read and write ideas.
-
Standard User - Has full read and wrote access, except in the settings.
-
Limited User - Has read and write access in the Ideas section. Has read-only access to specific content that is shared by professional users (via invitation).
