Inviting Team Members

What:

Inviting Team Members is a feature within Acclaim Ideas that enables innovation managers to involve others in their idea development process.

Why:

This feature is important because it encourages collaborative thinking and idea generation. By involving diverse team members, you're able to tap into a variety of perspectives, experiences, and skill sets which can enhance idea quality and increase the likelihood of innovation success.

How:

  1. Log into your Acclaim Ideas account: Open your preferred web browser and navigate to the Acclaim Ideas login page. Enter your credentials to access your account.

  2. Click 'Add New User' from the left menu bar.

  3. Enter the required fields.

  4. Choose the user type: Professional or Contributor. Also choose the User role. Quick definitions found in the notes section.

  5. Once you've entered all the required information, click the 'Invite' button. The team members will receive an email with a link to join the idea or campaign.

Best Practices:

Invite team members who can contribute significantly to the idea or campaign.

Provide context when inviting team members, such as details about the campaign or idea, and what you expect from their participation.

Regularly communicate with the team members to keep them engaged in the idea development process.

Notes:

You can designate the user type. You have two choices:

A contributor is a user with limited access to your platform (such as a customer or external stakeholder).

A professional user has increased access to the platform and is an internal stakeholder.

You can choose between the following Professional user roles:

  1. Innovation User - Has unlimited access to the platform, including permissions and settings.

  2. Executive User - Read-only access to the whole platform, except the settings. Has permission to read and write ideas.

  3. Standard User - Has full read and wrote access, except in the settings.

  4. Limited User - Has read and write access in the Ideas section. Has read-only access to specific content that is shared by professional users (via invitation).

Learn more about user roles here.

Keep in mind that you can invite as many team members as you want to your idea or campaign. However, it's important to involve the right people who can provide valuable input and drive the innovation forward.
